Well wouldn't you know the batteries in the camera are dead. I kept meaning to charge them, but didn't. Oh it wasn't because I couldn't remember to. No, it was because I couldn't find the charger and I didn't remember to yell at my children who made off with it! Not just one, but both! We use the same brand battery for the camera as the game boy and MP3 players. Chad is especially bad about taking it to his room. Anyway
Well thank you to everyone who has called and emailed about Alice's foot. She is doing really well. She had her stitches out on day 9. They of course put the steri strips on and she couldn't get it wet for the first day but after that it was fine and she could take them off when they came up. So she had them on for a couple days and then they came off on their own. We noticed that she is going to have a crooked scar. Not that they cut crooked but once they removed that large "lump" it made it look crooked.
SO she is back to her normal run around self. She is going shopping this weekend and getting her girly self made over a bit.
Rachel has a new do too and I will post pics of it soon. it is really short! It looks cute curly and it looks cute straight. She really likes it straightened. I bought a new flat iron to do Alice's hair and just did Rachel's as a fun thing and she said oh I like it! SO since it only takes me 15 min. to do Alice's I said sure I can do this every morning for you too.
Chad is doing well. He is testing the limits a bit and pressing my buttons a bit, but he is ok. Every year about this time the middle school band does an elementary school tour. SO they go to a couple of schools one day and play for a few minutes at each and then the vice principal and a group of 8th graders talk to the 5th graders about going to middle school. SO yesterday was the first set of schools, and that included the girls elementary. Chuck likes to volunteer to go on these band outings so he was really excited to go yesterday. The last set of schools will be Thursday and then next week is the band concert for this trimester. I will have to see if I can figure out how to put a video on here to share with everyone.
Grace is doing well in school. She really has the routine down now and is doing ok. I am looking forward to seeing her report card. She has made friends and enjoys going.
Jill is giggly and silly. She is looking forward to her birthday. Nothing really big going on with her right now either.
Chuck and I are just ho humming along. You know being the adult is pretty boring. Well I guess we did have some excitement last week. The neighborhood bully has been behaving a bit now that the school has stepped in. Instead of him picking on the girls his mother and grandmother have taken over. So Chuck went over to ask what the problem is and why they are yelling at our kids every day. They decided to call the police on him for trespassing. Sigh.... I was about to call on my own. So I was talking to the officer and telling him what has been going on. He told me that Oregon harassment laws have changed. These "adults" can come out and yell up a blue streak and say anything they want to the kids and it is all protected under freedom of speech. I just am appalled at this.
So that is about it. Not much else going on. I will share a few projects soon too!
