My Poor little Grace was home sick yesterday and again today. She is running a fever and has the nasty discharge in her eyes. She looks so pathetic. I feel bad for her. She is worried about missing 2 days of school.
Chad on the other hand is starting to cough and sputter, but no fever and no discharge so off to school he must go. He would much rather stay home!
Alice is having surgery on her foot on Monday. She is worried about it, naturally. She is also feeling relief that it is nearly over. She is looking forward to being out of that constant pain. She is kinda excited too because after she is done healing she is getting a complete make over. She already got the hair cut. Now she is getting a new wardrobe and that will include make up. Anyone who knows this girl knows she has been a tom boy her whole life. She is finally wanting to "girl it up" a bit now.
SO the Bully situation
We have a neighborhood bully. He has picked on my "little" girls for a long time. Usually it is just over the summer. That is because my girls have been homeschooled so when September rolls around he goes back to school. Well now that they are going to school too he seeks them out and picks on them. He has Jill in tears daily. We have had enough! We have tried talking to his parents. Sadly the mom doesn't care and she is no better than the son. Chuck went and tried talking to them again the other night. Got the well we will talk to him. So yesterday at the bus stop, I had Chad walk the girls to keep an eye on things, the mom comes out and starts yelling at him. So once on the bus this boy gets up and moves to sit by my girls and starts in on them again. It continues at recess and on the bus ride home. So we have called the school to get them involved. If this doesn't help I don't know what to do. I am thinking maybe call the police and see what kind of intervention they can be. I am open to suggestions! uggg...

Sorry to hear that you have sickies in your house. Not sure what you can do about the bully at home.
But the bus driver and stop it on the bus. He/she can assign seats where he would not be able to sit by them. You can also request that they have tape what goes on while the kids are on the bus. I did not know this until Boomer was in first grade and there was a some incidents on the bus. The bus driver can request it, the parents can request and the school can request it. Most of the time no one know whether it is on the bus or not. The bus driver can request that he not ride the bus. (kick him off) That happened here when this kid was bullying other kids on the bus. He was on kindergarten or first grade. Then some jr kids got kicked off bus.
If this is happening at school too. The school should get involved. Making sure that it does not happen. The teachers on recess and at the bus stop at school should put a stop to it. I know that we have a bully policy here in the schools in our town. We have a resource officer too. So you might talk to your is if you have one.
I am watching my a friend's 10 year that got supended from school for fighting. Supposeable he has been bullied for a few months now and had enough. Good luck!
