No more teachers, no more books....

We are finally done with school for the year!    It comes with some changes too.  We even have Alice home for a spell.  It is nice to have ALL of the kids at home.  The kids had ok years academically speaking.  They finished up with some rather good grades.  I can't believe how big they are all getting to be.  Alice is only a term away from her Associates degree!  How did that happen?  I see a huge party box dancing in my head when I think about her going back to school!  We have to be sure to celebrate that!  Chad took a second year of French this year.  That boy should have been born in France.  He does better in French class than he does in English class.  He has now finished 2 years of highschool and only has 2 more to go.  Can't believe a mission and college will be here soon enough.  Rachel  really seemed to enjoy the 8th grade.  They had a dinner and dance to celebrate at the middle school.  She said it was a lot of fun.  Rachel will be starting the K12 highschool program in the Fall.  She is pretty excited about highschool classes.  I am not sure what she wants to take yet.  I guess she will figure it out when she talks to a councilor soon.  Grace decided to give going to middle school a try this year.  She liked it well enough she plans to go back next year.  She is still playing clarinet in the band and has picked up piano as well.  Jill finished up 4th grade at Joseph Gale.  This school district the elementary schools end at 4th grade then they go to upper elementary for 5 & 6.  So we don't like the upper elementary school.  You guessed it!  She will be home the next 2 years for sure.  We will decide after that what she is doing.   So for now we are on to summer fun!
