Well I haven't updated Blog land in a long time. We have had plenty of change in Michael Land. The 1st brought a huge change in our life. Miss Alice went away to college! My baby girl is all grown up and living on her own in Idaho! I do talk to her all the time, mostly it is through texting. She is thriving! She is excelling! I am so proud of the woman she is. She is attending classes, working out, attending church, going to devotionals, and FHE. She has met new friends reunited with friends from. Her testimony is strong and her spirit soaring. This was the best place for her to go. We miss her immensely and we look forward to seeing her soon.
Chad is a freshman in highschool now! Can you believe he is old enough for highschool? He loves the challenges and is enjoying seminary. He has been in Jazz band and symphonic band all year. He chose to take French1 this year as well a metal shop class. He wishes he had different choices for English class, but he is getting over it. He has really embraced FG High as his school and is proud to be a Viking! He played with the band at nearly every home foot ball and basket ball game and loved it. He came home from games full of enthusiasm. FGH made it to the play offs in Foot ball and that was quite exciting.
Rachel is excelling in middle school. She had a few problems with the bullies picking on her the first couple weeks of the school year, but the principal stopped that. Now she is loving school and has made plenty of new friends. She was made a student of the month in January. She just had her 13th birthday. I will share pics from her birthday after her party.
Grace is a 6th grader this year. she likes school for the most part. She has 2 teachers and it gets confusing for her sometimes. She is still playing the clarinet. She is pretty good at it too. She has done a lot of different projects this year in social studies. They are studying ancient civilizations. She has been a bit fascinated with it.
Jill is doing well in 3rd grade. In this district 3rd graders get to start a strings class after school. Jill is playing violin this year. She is getting pretty good at it. She doesn't squeak too much! We are thankful to grandma Mary for purchasing the violin for her. Jill is very excited that 3rd graders get to do Oaks testing. It's funny the other kids don't really care for it. Oaks is Oregon's standardized testing.
Chuck and I love owning our home. There have been a few times when I wished we had a land lord to turn to for repairs, but Chuck has managed to get them done eventually. It feels good to be able to over prune a bush and not have to worry about what the land lord is going to say. We have been working on some yard stuff. Last summer we worked on digging out the grass and making a level spot for the pool. we will put concrete down next year. This year we are getting our garden in and adding a garden shed! Chuck is really looking forward to having that shed. It will be a build it yourself project for father and son.
So that is about it for the Michael land update. Charming is still my little shadow and loves when I am sick so he can lay in bed with me. Otherwise he just lays down where ever I am.

Makenzie got to see Alice when she went to Rexburg for her ballroom dance competition. She loved seeing her and I'm glad they are good friends.
