Well it is a new week! I am still getting myself into a new routine. It is hard when the kids keep having a day of school. Last week was MLK day on Monday today they are home due to teacher inservice day.
There are so many jobs and careers in the world. My most favorite career is the one I have dedicated my life to that of Homemaker, wife, and mother. I found this quote a few months ago and just love it.
“Homemaking, as I view it, falls into two major divisions: homemaking and housekeeping. Homemaking takes into account the spiritual values: love, peace, tranquility, harmony among family members, security. It makes of a place of residence a spot to which family members can retire from a confused and troubled world and find understanding and rejuvenation. Its character is quietness; it evidences good taste, culture, and refinement. Men, women, and children alike have their individual contributions to make to good home and family life, and each shares in its benefits.“Housekeeping involves the work of keeping a house clean, orderly, and well managed.” (Belle S. Spafford, A Woman’s Reach [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1974], pp. 24–25).
So my homemaking plans for today include, but are not limited to, laundry, grinding wheat, baking bread, baking some cookies, cleaning my bedroom and working on my girl cave some more.
Someone asked me to share my menu for the week so here ya go! I only have to make lunch for the kids today and it will more than likely be hot dogs and mac & cheese. the rest of the week lunch for me will be left overs or yogurt and a slice of bread.
