Another Monday

It's another Monday. Should be a Homemaking Monday.....
So Miss Alice called me today and one of the things she said was I should get back to blogging and not facebooking. She said she missed reading what is going on at home. So here is the catch up. Chad turned 15 last month! Can you believe that? Oh my! We still need to get him to DMV to get that coveted learners permit. I just realized that I didn't do a birthday interview with him. I will have to get on that, especially since we are about to have another birthday. Chad opted to not have a party. He got a little better gift out of the deal. Hurray no work for mom!
Alice did come home for her spring break week. It was wonderful to have her home! OH MY HECK!!! She scared the heck out of me! I was expecting her to come in late Saturday night. Well the stinker was able to switch rides and come home earlier. She showed up around 6 a.m. I was sleeping she called and woke Rachel up to get in. She came in my room and says "mom, hey mom" In my head I was who is moming me so early. It dawned on me pretty quick it was not one of the 4 so I opened my eyes and screamed a bit and was shocked. OH it was good to hug her and talk to her! I feel like I talked to her all the time last term so I was really surprised by how much she had to tell me that I hadn't heard yet. Nothing big just little things. She took all the girls to see movies and she and chad went for ice cream. So she did a good job of spending time with each of them. She got to spend some time alone with daddy too. Sadly she ended up getting a cold and sharing it with me. Some allergies hit her too. So she spent a couple days sleeping that off. We did a hair day and she got to go see her bestie. I think it was a great visit. Now she is back at school and settling into a new term. Can't wait till she is home again!
Kids are plugging away at school there are only about 6 weeks left in the year! We are all looking forward to summer. Grace is working on a science fair project. I will have to share some pics when she is done. Jill is really doing well with the violin. She broke a string today so now I have to find somewhere that sells replacement strings and get her going again. Rachel is loving Newspaper class. She told me she wants to be a Newspapepr person when she grows up. Made me laugh.
OK So I have been in a bit of a bad mood for the last month and that is why I haven't blogged. I got an infection in my lower leg. I have been in and out of the doctors all month long. The thing is not healing very quickly. Every time I go in I worry she is going to say ok time to put you in the hospital. We were trying compression wraps to get the swelling down. The first one has 3 or 4 layers and I am allergic to the first one. The next style kept sliding off when the swelling went down. So mostly I have to lay or sit around with my leg up. It hurts like heck! So that is where I have been hiding out.
I can't really tell you what is on the menu this week because I haven't figured it out yet. Here is what I have.
