Homemaking Monday

Well it is another Homemaking Monday. I don't know about where you are, but here in our little part of the world it is getting dang hot! We are supposed to 100 or above till Thursday. I hate heat! It makes me feel sick and cranky.

So anyway my homemaking plans are pretty much the same as they have been for a month now. Aside from the normal household chores I am sorting, tossing, and packing. We have gotten rid of so much stuff our new house is going to feel empty. It feels great to be getting rid of so much stuff that we don't need, want, or use anymore. I am not going to get the curtains made, or any other sewing project done, until we are moved and mostly settled.

What do you cook when it is too hot to cook, let alone want to eat food?
Tonight is Spaghetti, green beans, pears, and lots of ice water
Tuesday crock pot bbq chicken, peas, noodle roni, apple sauce
Wednesday spanish rice, peaches, beans
Thursday Tacos
Friday I am voting for getting the stuff to do sandwiches

Still no word on the house. We are waiting to hear what that official appraisal report is. It was supposed to be done today, but it is almost 4 p.m. so I am betting we don't hear anything today. I am not a patient person! All the waiting is driving me nuts. On the upside I have gotten a lot of packing done. I have a goal to have everything packed so I can walk out of here the night before we get the truck and never have to come back. Chuck will come back and do all the rest of the cleaning while I unpack the new house. This has worked out really well for us on other moves so we will do it on what we hope will be our last move!
