Our Easter

I absolutely love Easter. A few years ago my FIL got us this book. You can get it from Desert book
It lays out the last week of Christ's life with stories and activities for the whole week. We have loved using this book. It has really changed how we view and celebrate Easter in our home. Well this year because of everything I have been going through we didn't actually get to do our week of Easter. We did however still have a lovely Easter with my MIL. I just love this pic of her and Chuck.

We don't do Easter baskets anymore either. I do put out a tray of candy and little things that the kids can use in sacrament meeting or are somehow Christ related.

Grandma Mary got the kids each a stuffy and boy am I glad she did! I didn't manage to get them anything other than a little candy. Now of course these stuffed friends have become fast faves of the youngest 3 girls. I have found them all cuddled up with them every night when I head to bed.

We have also been blessed with a "new" grandma in our family too. My FIL remarried a couple of years ago. Marci has such a big heart and she loves to be a grandma to all the Michael grand kids. She and grandpa sent little goody treat bags for the kids. So the kids, despite not doing our normal, said they enjoyed Easter. Some of them were a bit put out that we didn't go to Church, but they say they understand. I have a feeling only Alice can really understand.
