Time marches on

Summer came and went.  Time marched on.  The start of a new School year, marked with change yet again.  We have 3 in high school this year!  Can't believe it!  We have a senior, a sophomore, and a freshman.  They are all growing so quickly and discovering new interests.  Jill has returned to brick and mortar schooling.  So far it has proved to be a good change for us both.  We celebrated homecoming, Go Vikes!  The band kids were in the parade and everyone else watched. The kids all went to the game.  I don't recall the score, but the Forest Grove Vikings won the game.  The high school kids went to the dance as a group.  Chad had a date with a lovely young lady and Rachel had a friend go and sleep over.  It was fun for them all.
Halloween has come and gone yet again.  I just couldn't get into it this year.  I have no idea why.  Oh that is not quite true.  The kids really didn't get that into it either.
I think Alice got into it the most!  She was Spiderman.  Chad just couldn't come up with a real costume so he was a greaser from the 50's.  Rachel was a witch, yet again.  Grace said she wanted to be a homicidal maniac, after all they look just like everyone else. It was an attempt at a line from one of the Adams Family movies, so she went as Wednesday Adams.  Jill was  a Prom Queen again and not happy at picture time.  Poor thing wanted to be a Monster High girl.  I had said we could buy a costume before I knew it would be about $30!  NO Way am I paying more for a costume than I do on the candy we hand out.
time is Marching on.  I have hit the big 4 0!!!  Wow that is a big number and a bit strange to say.  So far so good.  I had a most lovely little celebration with my dear family.  And now we are moving on to Thanksgiving and Christmas!  I am so thrilled to be working towards Christmas.  I am looking forward to it as much as ever.  I can't wait to share more about our holidays as they come about.
